Accurate Home Care is looking to add a Benefits Coordinator to their HR Team! The benefits coordinator position assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, manages all insurance billing, maintains employee database and files, and assists with payroll processing.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as ICHRA (Individual Contribution Health Reimbursement Account), flexible spending accounts (FSA), dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Manage the open enrollment process
- Oversee 401K audit reporting and process
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.
- Assist employees with health, dental, life, and other related benefit claims.
- Verify the calculations of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Administer COBRA.
- Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrators. Follow up on claims.
- Assist the HR Director in obtaining statistics and information in the renewal process of any health, life, and retirement plans that benefit the company.
- Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
- Completing benefits reporting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- One to two years of experience administering benefits, including FMLA and Workers Comp.
- Good working knowledge of ACA, benefit laws and regulations.
- Preferred: experience working with and managing an ICHRA
- Healthcare experience required; home healthcare experience preferred.
- Self-starter with minimal need for direction or supervision.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication required.
