Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries. Mediate and resolve conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain employee relations policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Investigations: Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and grievances. Document findings and recommend appropriate actions.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to educate employees and managers on company policies, conflict resolution, and best practices in employee relations.
- Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems. Provide guidance to managers on performance issues and improvement plans.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Conduct surveys and focus groups to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Compliance: Stay current with labor laws and regulations. Ensure company practices comply with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on employee relations issues, trends, and outcomes. Present findings to senior management and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience holding employee relations titles
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in a retail, fuel distribution, or convenience store environment is a plus.
